Hi Aleksei,
thanks again for a quick response!!! I did what you suggested and it works ok!
I see now Grand total for "Each bar length" and "Total bar length"! But what I want is total kg???
How can I do this?
Best regards!
You are welcome!
You need to create Calculated Value with formula ash shown below
As for Mass per length parameter, depending on project template that you are using, it can be found in Rebar type. If it is not there, you have to create this parameter manually in Manage -> Projcet parameters
Ok, thank you!
I managed to create Mass per Unit Length in Project Parameters:
and than insterted the column in Rebar Schedules with "Calculate totals":
but there are 0,00 kg/m values:
Where did I get it wrong?
Of course I didn't, but my "Type Properties" menu looks different. There is no such cell "Mass per Length"???
OK,...this one is weird,...
I found "Mass per Unit Length" under Properties but it is "Rebar Number" related!!! Seams I have to go bar by bar and manually insert this value (very time consuming)??? Is there some other way,...I'm using Revit 2018!!!!
Thank you! Finally I have this parameter:
How do I get the calculated value you mentioned before (in your first post) - "Total bar Weight"??? I do not see this on the list:
You add something (but what?) from the left side of the menu ("Available fields") and then modify it (add the formula you have on the screen shot - fx icon)???
I'm stuck now with weird values,...
after the above formula,....even yours Quantity*BarLength*MassperUnitLength shows the same value!!! Take a look at the last column!
What did I get wrong?
Hi,
finally managed to figure out where the problem was! I didn't change the value to "calculate totals" in drop down menu!!!
Thank you again Aleksei! You really helped me a lot with this post!
Hi,
one more thing that bothers me! I cut the table (Rebar's Schedule) in segments to fit A4 format paper. I would like to have "Grand totals" on the last page that summons all rebar's masses (from page 1 to ...)??? Obviously, on the last page, I have "Grand totals" only for Rebar Numbers that are on that page!
Is there a way to achieve this in Revit?
Regards!
Hello
I'm sure there is a smart solution to your problem. I can suggest only temporary one. Use filters to create separate schedules that fits the ark.
For example
Filter by: Rebar number is greater than or equal to 01
And: Rebar number is less than or equal to 06
Hi Aleksei,
maybe I misunderstood something but if I filter by "Rebar Number" (form 01-06) and check "Grand totals" then Revit will show only grand totals for Rebar Numbers 01 to 06!!! This is what I have now.....five pages (A4 format) filtered by Rebar Number.
But how could I insert Grand totals on the last page for all Rebar Numbers???
Thanks for your time!
Thank you ToanDN,
Excellent tip!!!
You said "create one schedule"! So, when I create only one schedule, and 10 sheets...,....moving schedule on one sheet consequently moves schedule on all other sheets and then I'm in trouble with printing area. As you stressed in your post "everything has to be on the right side"!!!???
Did I misunderstood something!?
@Anonymous
My apology. You do have to duplicate the schedule. But you don't need to filter them, just break them. See attached files.
When print, choose Offset from Corner.
