Rebar doesn't align with other rebar

My issue is that when using a certain rebar shape, 29 in this case, it will not align, center to center, with a rebar shape 00.

If I sketch both rebars, they will align, but the rebar which should be shape 29 will have a generic "Rebar Shape 2" name, which is not suitable for submission in the bending schedule.

However, when I change it's shape from "Rebar Shape 2" to shape 29, it automatically snaps to the edge of the straight rebar and won't allow for center to center alignment.

I have attached a screenshot to better understand the issue.

Hello @Anonymous

Is the style of any of the bar shapes set as Stirrup/Tie?

Standard bars can snap to Stirrup/Tie style bars, so this may be the issue here.

Try setting the segment constraints to the bottom face of the stair

If the angle between the segment of that bar varies with respect to the shape 29 that is loaded, a new shape may be produced. This is probably what is happening here.

You can try to place a shape 29 bar in that stair and see how the legs differ from what is required in the stair.

hi @Anonymous

I had the same issues and the guys helped me out , in the project browser if you expanded Families then Structural Rebar then Rebar shape - ( if you want you can override the Rebar Shape 2 here by right click and renaming for you bbs) right click on shape 29 and edit - bring up the family properties and change Strip to Standard and that should work.

Thank you so much! Editing the type from stirrup to standard solved the issue!
