Rebar colour in cross section

I have a question... if you cut section thru rebar is it always black? Or can you change the viz to different colours depending on diameter of bars.

Bars in elevation or normal section I am having no problems with. Bars protruding out of the view is the problem

Hello @martybkk

You can edit the object styles, per @EdwinG suggestion

and

you can also use the visibility overrides per view, manually set or by filter. You need to set the color for the Cut lines to get the desired effect.

Hello @ovidiu_paunescu

I appricate your efforts, especially this great reference (Rebar Modeling in Revit: Keep It in Check)

I have the same problem with Mr. @martybkk , the idea is realy we can edit hatch of cut bar by just editing lines color under cut columns in VG.

I want to keep cut line black and get the inside hached with custom color as attached
Can you help please?as.png

And I have another query about something in revit like draw order in Autocad to prevent intersection of lines

Many thanks gents

Hi @SohailElwan

That is not currently possible.

Are there a lot of situations where you would use that?

The bars are usually small and the lines may seem to be joining together at regular scales.
I recommend you add this to Revit Ideas, so that others may vote on it.

For your other question, the only draw order that you can set in Revit is with respect to annotation elements. The ordered of model elements is based on their relative position.

Hi sir @ovidiu_paunescu

I really have a lot of situation as I produce structural shop drawings, and as you can see in previous attached photo it looks so much prettier with AutoCAD

Regarding to second point you can see in attachment that even I have moved top rebars from bottom ones but they still interrupt in the opposite section

Thanks alot
