REBAR 3D DRAW ORDER

Hi All

I've been creating some rebar cages in beams etc, and colour coding bars etc. However, when I try to create a good 3d view of it, the draw order of the rebar is very random and I can't find a way to change it.

Example attached. The links should be around the main bars and therefore obscure them, but they don't show that way. Is this a setting I've missed?

Hi @mgilliver

Try turning off unobscured in that view for all the bars (select bars > properties > view visibility states > uncheck unobscured).

Make the host transparent so that you see the bars.

Hi - I've found a couple of workarounds, but nothing perfect.
Option 1 - show unobscured and solid - but model as hiddenline (no transparency) - if I use any transparency, the rebar is also going transparent and so you start to see bars through bars.
Option 2 - show as wireframe, but without unobscured.
The problem there is that it looks wrong.
Option 1 is good, but I have other cast in items in the concrete that I want to be visible, and they aren't.

You can override the transparency just for the elements you want transparent.

Sometimes I use a filter with multiple categories that makes all the elements with the comment "transparent" transparent, or I right click the concrete element > override by element > Transparency
