I don't see where i can change the top rail to a round 1 1/4" rail or add a midrail, or make the post spacing 4'-0 c/c.

Are the diagonal bracing gusset plate's in Revit and if so which view do you insert them in.

Hell,

the Top rail profile you can change in the Top rail family. Use Project Browser/Railings

In general all parameters concerning railings could be change in the Railings Type dialog except Top rail and Handrails which are a separate elements and you can find them in Project Browser. Let me know if you need more information.

I went to top railing in project browser and clicked edit. The window comes up and says profile is 2"x 2" rectangle and i clicked on that and the drop down box gave me 4 other sizes, which were several Wide Flange beams (e.g. W8x10) How do i get those out of there and put in some round pipe. Thanks

Open the dialog of Top rail then go to the Construction part and there is Profile parameter with an another list. There you can change the profile.

If you will not find the needed one you have to create a new profile family...

In the new family of the profile you need to set Profile Usage as Railing in the Category dialog
