What is the best method to only purge unused Revit links from a Revit model without purging anything else

There is no 'purging' links in Revit, with the "Purge Unused" function.

You should go to the "Manage" tab, select "Manage Links" and then unload (and remove) links you do not need.

I beliebe it should be possiblbe to be done throught the Revit API. Or have a look in the apps exchange for (paid) apps that perform this function.
