Precast Garage Double Tee Warping

Hello all,

 

We are looking at using Revit to model a precast parking garage. One of the most challenging aspects of this that we have found is how best to model the warping of the tees.

 

We need a warped tee shown for the building as a whole, but when trying to ticket out the piece we need the tee to be flat. The only way we have been able to see this working is by creating both a flat and a warped tee but that also means all the connections will need to be modeled twice for each instance. While not the worst thing in the world, this seems like it will be very easy for a user to only update a single instance in the future, creating the possibility of the flat/warped tee falling out of sync.

 

How is everyone else handling a scenario like this? Is there an easier workflow that reduces the risk for error?

A quick idea would be to model upper part as Floor and then use Sub Elements to control the warping. 
Bottom part of the slab could be modelled as a Slab Edge.

If I know the levels I use Structural Framing and then Beam Systems associated to the Framing so when the supporting structure is adjusted the Beam System adjusts also.  If need I can remove the Beam System to leave the Beams as single entities

This was one of our initial trials, however the beam system seems to work better for steel. In this instance, we would want the "beams" (double tee) to twist and warp based on an angle at each end, which the beam system was not succeeding in doing. Even if we got this to work with the warping, this also left a gap on "how do we convert this warped product now into a flat product (with all the connections, rebar, strand, etc) for the production files
