Parametric Manhole for Generating BBS

Hello

I am currently modeling a parametric manhole family in Revit that I do intend to use to generate bar bending schedules for multiple manholes, each with random position openings (inlets, outlets, and vents). All this info is on an Excel sheet.

I am not sure how to add these openings without having to model each manhole separately.

Can you give me a heads-up on how I could tackle this?

This is a tricky one, most would just recommend building a Family with all the relevant parameters  and creating multiple Types in this family and change the values as needed for each type.

The alternative would be to try and utilise the Excel Spreadsheet into a Lookup Table but becomes much more complex.  Here is a good overview;

Finally have a chat with product manufacturers to see id they have any existing Revit content or any similar type Families already available for use to edit for your needs.

It you could provide a visual example or reference there may be additional support than can be offered?

Attached are images of what I actually mean (have).

1. A typical detail

2. A sheet with individual details and

3. Diagram with positions of openings for each element.

However, I will also take some time to study the doc you just shared. Thanks
