Hi,
I am trying to model two wooden beams (In family material type is set to wood) in two inclined planes as shown in image o1.Two beams are modelled in inclined reference planes.
But my intention is to add a miter joint as follows,
Anyone has an idea how to do that?

You may use reference planes either side of the ridge beam
Then use the cut tool to trim the rafters.
Hope this helps.
Hi @utech.udara
Create reference planes (RP) and cut. But remember, do not delete the reference planes.

I always use By Face in the Structure tab advantage is that the "opening" becomes part of the beam.
Thank you very much this solved my problem.
Coping option is rather efficient when joining beams ( I didn't know this also works for timber beams)
