miter command

I need to miter the bottom tube to meet flush with the vertical and horizontal tube.  I'm not having any success with it

Cut the angled tube by two ref planes.

what version of Revit are you using? 

could you use the Steel Modifiers tools?

I am using 2020 and when I do use that nothing happens

I selected "saw cut" under miter and the 3D looks correct but the section still shows the hidden lines

Also I'm having issues with my welds
