missing grids on some levels and not others

Hello all,
I have a 7 story model. on the basement level, all my grids are showing. As I move up to other levels the grids start disappearing. By the time I get to level 5 only 2 of about 45 grid lines and bubbles show. I can't just replace them because it says the name already exists. What should I do? I really don't want to delete all of them and start over. I am monitoring them with the architectural model and I have all the dimensioning done on the lower 2 levels. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.
John

Hi dear,
I have a question that what if we have an inclined/angled grid as it is not visibile in elevation/section view (let me know if there is a way to make it visible), how can we extend them or make them crossing the desired level.
Regards,

Another thing to look for, when you copy monitor the grid, it may be associated with a scope box.

Once all grids are in your model:
Turn off Crop View for a plan and a building section.

In the section where you can see a grid, select it, Right Click, Select All in Project.

Set Scope Box parameter to None.

Right-click again on all grids and Maximize 3D extents.

Once you have your bubbles on the correct ends, and the limits of the grid stretched to what you want to see, you can Propogate 3D extents and to the other views.
