Linking values from a schedule to a family

Hello all,

Is it possible link a 2D rebar family like this hairpin in the picture to a concrete schedule?

For example i need it to automatically change the overlap length according to what is written in the schedule as minimum overlap length for the specific diameter.

Are there ways to do this kind of thing in revit to make 2D rebar detailing a little faster?

The hairpin is a filled region.

Would love some suggestions on this.

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried a multi-category schedule? That's the first one in the list when you create your schedule

Could you elaborate?

I need the family to change according to the length written in the schedule, not the other way around.

So if the schedule says the overlap length needs to be 500, i need my hairpin filled region to change accordingly..

Apologies, I misread your post.
Well you need to convert that to a family.  That filled region can be a created into a simple detail family with parameters to adjust it's thickness and length. Those parameters can be used in a schedule.

Do take note that creating a schedule first then "linking" the value of the said schedule to your filled region is not possible. You have to create a family.
