Joint of horizontal and sloped slab

Hello, 

Is it possible to join horizontal and sloped slab so that both can host reinforcement? It would be useful to have tool for this such as "edit sketch" or similar, to flexibly modify situations like those on pictures I provided here. I did join the slabs, but there are some parts that need to be trimmed, which I can´t do.

Check the "Variable" checkbox in the floor assembly properties to maintain a flat soffit. Then use the floor shape editing tools to align the top of the flat slab with the top of the ramp slab.

Thank you for the explanation, but it lacks some details, and I was not able to do it according to your solution. However, I did Model "In-Place" and got desired result. 

If you have time, it would be nice to see a video of the solution you suggested.
