Issue with Using Same Detail Number for Dependent Elevation Views in Revit

Hello everyone,
I’m working on a project in Revit where I need to create a long elevation view at a scale of 1:100. Because the elevation is too long to fit on a single sheet, I’m breaking it into parts using dependent views.
The challenge I’m facing is with the view titles and detail numbers:
The main elevation view (View A) has a viewport with a detail number, for example, “A,” along with the sheet reference and view name.
The dependent elevation view, which represents the continuation or second half of the same elevation, logically should share the same detail number “A” because it’s essentially part of the same elevation split into two.
However, Revit throws an error message when I try to assign the same detail number “A” to the dependent view’s viewport, saying:
"Detail number is already in use. Enter a unique number."
To me, it makes sense that when an elevation is split into multiple dependent views, the detail number should remain consistent since they represent one continuous elevation.
Has anyone found a good workaround or a best practice for handling this scenario? Or is there a way to override this message so the same detail number can be used on dependent views?
See attachment.
Also, as a suggestion to the Revit development team:
It would be very helpful if Revit could allow the same detail number to be used for dependent views of a single elevation, recognizing them as parts of the same continuous view. This would improve workflow and maintain clarity on sheets without forcing unique numbers that break the logical connection between split views.
Thanks in advance for your help!
