Is it possible to filter dimensions based on value?

Hi,

I'd like my dimensions to change colour based on their value. For example, dimensions under 10 would be green, 10-90 would be blue, 90+ would be red.

Is this something that Revit is capable of, or would I need to look into the dark arts of Dynamo?

Many thanks

Rob

Unfortunately, the short answer is no (I don't know why 'Autodesk Experts' never seem to want to just tell people when Revit can't do something).

You can't use annotations or, specifically, dimensions, as a filter category (for some reason).

Yes, I agree Revit should change this.

The closest thing I've found is the workaround below, but it's not a good workaround imo. If a dimension were to change in value, it wouldn't automatically change color in this "solution" (you'd have to manually change its inclusion in a selection set after it changed, which makes this much less useful if you have tons of dimensions to keep track of). Solved: Re: Cannot filter any type of annotations or dimensions in Revit - Autodesk Community - Revi...
