impossible to create a void in an in place component

Hi everyone,
As part of my water tank project on Revit I wanted to create a void shape on my raft to insert the sump shape according to the picture below ... but it is impossible for me to create a void !!
Note: I modeled my raft by using an in place component then chosen the revolution tool.

I followed several tutorials to get idea how to creat voids and I modeled a void shape by using in place component then the extrusion tool and chosen cut the geometry but it does not work !!! ... an error message always appears telling me that the void shape does not cut any element and will be deleted !! (see picture below)

Note: by choosing the slabe tool to creat a raft it succeeds and the void can be created... but my raft shape is complex and I have to use an in place component to model it and in this case the void cannot be created!!!

how can I resolve this problem please?

Thanks for All.

You can't cut 2 seperate inplace family's with eachother

You must create the void in the (complex)in place family and with yes/no parameter you can control the void's visibility.
