Import detected no valid elements in the file's Model space

This is a problem if you are not the original author when he/she done that task and turn over it to you. Without knowing it gets annoying every time you open a model it pop-ups and asking what to do. See the screenshot below. Thank you for the prompt response.

open the program first then import? click yes and see what happen? thanks

this usually happens when a DWG is inked that either has nothing in the model space OR has proxy elements in the Model Space. Revit will not read the proxy element from AutoCAD Architecture, AutoCAD Mechanical, Civil 3D, etc... 

 

if you are sure there are elements in the Model Space of the DWG.
