Does anyone have an idea how you would go about rotating framing members along a path?
The below model was exported from sketchup and the purlins (yellow) are on a horizontal plane but rotate their centre axis one direction and then back again. Seems kind of complicated to be honest. I don't even know where to begin without doing them all manually..

It would be a manual process without using something like Dynamo to try and automate it.

I have use Schedules where it is more number editing in a spreadsheet method or even using an Addin to Export and import to Excel where this could be more automated in the Cells with formulas.

The only other alternative would be to utilise the Sketchup model somehow and place member by picking from the model for instance and this may bring across the properties for rotation.

yeah i ended up doing it manually mainly because i released the rotation along it path isnt even linear. it rotates one direction then back the opposite way (unevenly). quicker and easier to just manually do it
