How to extend roof rafters to roof ridge

ok I got roof rafters in. wooo hooo. now how do I extend these rafters to the roof ridge?

Which version of Revit are you using?

Did you try the roof framing extension?

im using revit 2018 school edition I have the extension but wanted to know how to do without it

You can model a roof based generic family and host it to the roof.

Use out of the box dimensional lumber families to model the rafters. No in-place families needed. Set bottom of roof ply as the current workplane prior to modeling the rafters. Then connect the Blue grips of each rafter in any view and the joists should miter. You can always extend the rafters and cut with another work plane if needed.
