I need to create a curved section along the curvature of a spiral ramp. The ramp belongs to a multi-levels parking. Typical parking with spiral ramps at both ends. An architect send me dwgs with such curved section, claiming it was done in Revit. I just can't find any possible way of doing such section.
Any help is much appreciated.
Maybe creating a reference plane aligned with the lateral side of the ramp, then offset-copy the ref plane at the mid-section of the ramp, then i don't know what to do.
If I am reading this correctly, you cannot create a section or a elevation along a curve in Revit. It would be great if you can. If you are just wanting to cut sections through the ramp, we have done so, on small single curve ramp for parkades of condos. Cut the section and make your view range as small as possible.
If you need anything else let me know.
If Revit could do sections along polylines, then we could divide any curve into polyline segments and do local sections along each segments, then (automatically) align all those sections into one drawing. Too bad Revit can't do polylines.
