Revit.jpgGreetings,

I am working on a project of cement plant, I have made a 3d model(RVT file) with many 3d dwg. linked file.

Now according to the client requirement I have submit this model in IFC format.

When I export the RVT file by (Revit 2018) into IFC , no linked dwg. file shown in the IFC file.

(See the attached Image)

Please Help.

Hi @Anonymous

I'm not sure you can in vanilla Revit. You might need to open the linked DWGs in AutoCAD Architecture if you want them to exist as IFC however this will likely only contain geometry.

On a side note if your exporting to IFC from Revit I would also highly recommend you look at the IFC addin for Revit which you can get on the Autodesk app store, this is the link for the 2018 add in:

https://apps.autodesk.com/RVT/en/Detail/Index?id=6193770166503453647&appLang=en&os=Win64

It gives you additional options for exporting to IFC, although including linked DWG files doesn't appear to be one.
