how to annotate roof trusses properly?

I am new to revit structure.

I do not need 3d now.  I intend to draw the roof framing plan like the autocad dwg attached.

I also attached a revit project.

I only put beams to represent the girder and common trusses (or roof trusses) in the roof framiing plan of revit.

I did not use trusses feature in revit because I do not know how to create trusses in array like using beam system function in revit.

my question is , as you can compare, the label I used for the roof trusses (or common trusses) in the autocad file is quite opposite to the label in revit.  in autocad, the span and extend of the roof trusses (or common truss) is done properly, but the label in revit only show the span label ( and I want the span arrow to be like the one shown in autocad, the arrow in revit is supposed traditionally used for span).  if someone can teach me how to edit the beam system annotation family to achieve this goal it would be great.

also if someone can teach me how to make an array of trusses (usually common trusses or jack trusses @ 2' o.c.) and label (annotate) them like what I did in the autocad file, that will be great.  (rather than me use the beams to represent the trusses).

also, I want the span arrows for the common trusses in revit to go all the way to the girder trusses, but the arrows now stop at the edge of the boundary of the trusses.

I wonder also if I can hide the common trusses in the roof framing plan of revit and leave only the label for arrows and words like what I did in autocad.

You cannot place Revit trusses with a beam system. A BEAM system is ONLY for BEAMS, not trusses. Once one truss is in your project I would either copy the truss as required, or use the array function. Do NOT Group and Associate them!

As for your annotation, the tag tool will not give you the result you are looking for. The idea is to tag elements and not assume that everything is the same, even if it is. If you really want it to look the way you did it in AutoCAD than you could use the annotation tools and probably make an Symbol family to get it to look the way you want it, but they what happens if something changes? If you use Tags than the tag will update automatically.

Revit and AutoCAD are NOT the same. Moving to a BIM workflow with Revit will require you to change and adapt to a new workflow.
