Hooked Anchor Bolt

I am looking for a steel anchor bolt family that is flexible with the hook on the bottom.

Revit has come out with straight anchor bolts and in the steel tab under fabrication elements there are hooked anchor bolts that can be placed on fabricated plates but I am looking for a hooked anchor bolt family that does not need to be inserted thru the steel tab or attached to a fabricated plate.

Hi @amy

Which country library are you using? The reason I'm asking, there is a "Structural Connections" folder in some of the Family Libraries with individual parametric steel connection families. There might be something in there that you can use or edit slightly for your needs.

The image below shows the location for the US Metric Library:

I have been using Canada Metric and US Imperial both of which do not have a hooked anchor bolt. My computer won't let me modify/download the other libraries. Any chance you know how to do that or could you send me the file you are referring to? I wish the Canada metric had the same families as US metric 😞

Hi @amy

I did not look in detail for a bolt exactly like the one in your image. I did however find a similar one with a 90 degree hook. Perhaps you can use it and modify it slightly? See attached.

Also, you can manually download and install all libraries from here:

The hooked bolt you had attached is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you. All I had to do was rotate the family so the hook was at the bottom.
