Hello All. I am trying to join a wall with a support ledge. what I did was create the wall, picked the face of wall as my work plane and used model in place to create the ledge which goes from one to the other side of wall. when I finish, I pick the join command to join the wall and ledge together but I get the message: Highlighted elements are joined but do not intersect. any help would be appreciated.Revit Quiry_11.JPG

Hi Ahmed. Thanks for replying. they of the same material. i have attached a section though the wall which looks right,as you can see the wall and the ledge are attached, but the 3D view doesn't show them as joined.

Hi Ahmed. I sent the file to your email account, because I don't know apart from photos here how do you actually attach a file.

Thanks a lot Ahmed (Shokran). that has sorted out my problem. my mistake was when I was changing the ledge property to be the same as wall, I wasn't doing this through edit in place operation. I was just picking the ledge and changed it's property through edit type under properties box.
