Hidden line issue with structural framing

Hello;

I've banged my head against the wall for 2 hours on this and haven't found the problem.

I have a file (a1) with another file (a2) linked into it. (There is Revit 2022 and files are on BIM360)

As a test, I created two files from scratch - a T1 file with the beam and the floor objects. And a T2 file that I link the T1 file into. This is what I see:

Same settings: Structural Discipline, Show Hidden Lines by Discipline, Coarse View and Hidden Line Display (as opposed to wireframe). Looks good and proper.

Now if into the T2 file I link the first file (a2) into this file, I see this:

Bad, bad display. T2 prints the same as it is shown.

Finally, to make things even more frustrating, if I go to first top level file (a1) and link (t2) into it, both t2 and a2 look bad:

If I create a floor and a beam in A1, everything looks proper.

It is if  a1 has some setting that is messing any file linked into it. And a2 has some setting that messes things up for any file it gets linked into.

Hopefully, someone has seen this before and can fix it for me....

Hi there have been quite a few similar posts recently on hidden lines and transparency issues for the Structural Discipline in Revit Project Templates.

From the Autodesk KB articles it states they have been fixed in Revit 2024 but users are still experiencing issues.

The common solution is to ensure you have all updates and service .packs installed.

The workaround is that it prints as expected!
