Generic Model - Graphics Issue - 2022

I have created a model using a Generic Family and it appears to be working ok. However when inserted into my project I have a couple of problems.  It flexis fine in the family!

  • The columns do not extend to the top rail.
  • When viewed on plan, it looks like I am in ceiling view.  I.e I can see the mid-rail despite not cutting through it.

I have added the family and also some screenshots.  Any help appreciated.

A generic model family will show even if it is above the cut plane.

Thanks. Maybe a family isn't the answer then.  I have 50 of these with only 3 different types so maybe grouping in the project is the answer.

Not sure what you are using it for but the issue can be easily fixed by changing the family another category.

I have several roller shutter doors and this is the trimming steelwork.  I thought because I have so many it would be better to create a family.
