Should we load a family each time we start a project . I know we can insert a family by load Autodesk family option or create my own family . My question is under door I see door openings if I need to add a door I need to load autodesk family why can’t it be loaded always . Is there an option to have all the families loaded

The easiest way to achieve this add it into your Template.

I personally have a folder with all my families in and add it to the File location in the Revit > Option so when I click on Insert the Folder is in the List on the left hand side of the dialogue box.

As @jay_colcombe said add the required families to your template.

You could create multiple templates according to the type of projects you need.

You could have templates for Residential, Commercial, Hospitals, Schools all with different families pre-loaded in.

You can create a template from scratch or strip out the model and save an existing project as a template.
