family creation
- it depends on the family template you select. different templates may have different materials loaded into them. typically most templates only have "Default" materials loaded.
- materials can be created or loaded into a family at any time. in my case i have edited the templates i use at my office to have the typical materials i need.
- you can assign the material parameter to a Instance or Type parameter to allow you to allow you to change material after it has been placed.
- the fillet command should be available in a family when placing linework. alternatively you could use the Trim(TR) command to extend two lines to intersect each other.
