FACE BASE VOID DOESNT CUT THE FAMILY INSIDE THE WALL

Hi all,

I have created a mesh family in Revit which is going to be placed inside the wall, the problem is when i place a void on the face of the wall it cuts the wall but it doesn't cut the family, I have tried all the possible ways, and I know if I create a normal void instead of face based void, it can cut through both elements but I want to do it with face base void cause it is so much more simpler, I have even tried to put an extrusion around the family so that I cut the extrusion instead of the wall, but all these ways are just temporary and for the next project I am always facing the same problem!!

if this is not possible just tell me, it is truly a big draw back, cause I have been having this problem for months and now I am learning API just to solve this problem! thank you so much guys for your help. void.png

Face based void only cuts its host. Try add another void in the face based family but don't cut the host solid with it. Check Cut wuth void and loaded. Load and place on a wall, void 1 will cut the wall, then use cut geometry to cut again see of void 2 will cut the mesh. It may or may not work.
