Hi @Anonymous,

Could you please provide more information about your needs. What are you trying to achieve? Why there are areas not filled by fabrics? Why aren't you using any overlapping for fabrics? Could you please describe the workflow?

Kind regards,

Hi Bogdan,

what I need to provide the contractor are fabrics cutting plans. So, when I have to draw a slab (or wall) like this:

I have to provide fabrics cutting plans like this (or similar):

Capture2.JPG

That way contractor knows how much fabrics (rebar sheets) needs for slab (or wall) and how much of it is unusable!!! I've seen this in third party Revit add ins but couldn't manage to accomplish this!

Is there a way to make something similar?

Regards!

PS: The above layout is made in 10 seconds and fabrics are generated automatically.

Hi @Anonymous,

There are no ways that I know of of doing what you are searching for in pure Revit.

Hi Mark,

Can you please tell me which Revit add-on you're using to create the fabrics cutting plans?

Kind regards,

You should look into Dynamo for doing this. i have seen several scripts that do very similar layouts for curtainwall that I am sure could be changed and developed for your situation

Thank you guys!

The add-on I'm using for fabrics cutting plans is for AutoCAD only (not Revit)!

But, I think SOFISTIK managed to program something like this for Revit!? Cutting plans are very common in Europe and I wonder why are not provided with Revit. Hope it will be implemented in future versions!

Regards!
