Hello and happy new year everybody,
I faced an issue in export/link ifc between revit 2021 and 2022 versions and I would like to know how this process generally works?
Here I explain the steps I followed:
- I opened an structural element both in rvt 2021 and 2022 versions.
- Then I expoted to ifc with the same settings in both versions.
However,
- If I link the ifc in rev. 2022 and then if I open the corresponding ifc.rvt file (the .rvt file that automatically is made after linking ifc), I see all elements are shown as generic models.
- While, if I follow the previuos step in rev. 2021, I see the elements keep their original categories.
I would like to know why it works like this?
Although in the project that I am working, the result from version 2022 is what I want. But in this situation, I can't follow the main project which is in 2021 version.
Here I attatch the revit files and settings that I've applied.
I hope I could explain the issue well, and thanks in advance for your help.
Best regards,
Hamidreza
