Empty IFC file exported from Revit 2017

Hi everyone,

I've been working these days in a concrete chimney model, I have done some tries exporting it to IFC. For viewing those files I use to work with Solibri model viewer.

Till this point everything was fine. When I finalished the model I did the last exportation to IFC and I had an unpleasant surprise, the IFC file was empty.

I have done other attempts in other computers I realized the problem is only mine, because in the other computers I was able to get a porper IFC file with the model.

To be honest I don't know what the problem is all about. I hope someone be able to shed some light on it. Thanks in advance!!

Regards.

Hi @antonio.delacruz

If it is working on other computers but not on yours then it is most probably a setting issue....

Did you check the export settings and made sure that the IFC mapping file that you want to use for the export to IFC is loaded and is actually on ur computer?

If you don't have it then you could copy the .txt file from the other computer and load it on yours.

Thank you Mr. RDAOU,

you were right, to be honest I didn't even thougth about that simple solution because when I got that problem I decided to uninstall everything and re-install it back and I supposed it was enough for solving the issue. Anyways you've been really fast answering and smart on the reply, so I'll give you some Kudos.

Regards,

Antonio.
