DWG export issue

Anonymous

Hi,

Working on same project. On one computer everything is ok, on another is problem.

Exporting to dwg, open dwg file on layout tab missing title block. In rvt export settings everyting is set to plotable. Can't understand where is problem. The only difference is that one workstation has autocad other atocad LT, but when opening expported dwg files on both workstation, there are no title block. Both workstaions has latest revit updates.

Hello

Try to check if the settings for dwg export are the same.

Could It be that you export views on sheets as external references?

My bad, wrong guess. If the settings for title blocks export are OK, then I don't really know how to help you. Seems like an issue for Customer Support to look at.

seems it is something about image exporting issue. But coludn't understand it is revit or autocad LT issue.

- On machine with autocad everything works fine.

- On machine with autocad LT has two options. First option - exporting title block with images (logotypes), title block isn't exporting. Second option - delete all images (logotypes) from title block family and title block could be exported.

I will send you email with files.

1. rvt

2. dwg - exported from machine with full autocad

3. dwg - exported from machine with acad LT title block has images (in rvt family)

4. dwg - exported from machine with acad LT title block has deleted images (in rvt family)

Thanks, Gatis

@GatisM Hello, thank you for sending the file, I tried to export into AutoCAD and there is no issue. Sorry I don't have Acad LT. My suggestion is to export as DXF file from Revit and dxfin in Acad LT, but not sure if this will work. Thanks

Hi,

I am having the same issue, the title block is not showing up in the export from Revit to Autocad. Did you find a solution to this problem?

Thanks,

Julia

Hi,

read message Nr.10.

I think its Autocad LT and Revit export bug, issue somwhere, because, same problem was in other office.

Maybe try to delete some logotypes before exporting as I wrote in mesage Nr.10.

Thanks, but those do not fix the problem. We do not have Autocad LT and I created a title block with just the outside frame and it still does not show.

Hello @Anonymous

Could you share a sample file (can be simplified) that doesn't export correctly?

Do you see this issue in different projects?

Do you see different behaviors in the same project on different machines?

Hi,

This problem only happens for a specific project. I have checked it on 4 computers, and on 2 of them I have this issue. Is there a way I can send you the Revit file?

Thanks

I have a similar issue -

Revit 2019.2 / Autocad 2018

When exporting dwg or dxf the titleblock is not there, when exporting dwf/x the titleblock is there.

Does not have this issue on all machines , some it works fine. I have transferred the DWG import/export from the office template just to be sure . This happens when exporting one sheet or a set of sheets.

Out office standard is to issue each sheet as one DWG , not export as xref.

anyone with ideas ?

Same issue here on Revit 2020.2. Before 3 weeks sheets to DWG got exported correctly, now it suddenly doesn't work. Views are there but titleblock frame and text is missing. The layout of views is different than on the sheet. Viewport titles are missing.

From 1 computer all projects get exported wrong, form other computers same sheets get exported OK. If images are removed from the title block the export is OK. Except that image in a family nested into titleblock didn't export but all other geometry was there in correct layout.

Another hint - during the export process image files appear for a short moment and then disappear in the folder where exported DWG is to be saved.
