Discrepancy Between Revit Rebar Length in Properties and Manual Calculation

Hi everyone,

I'm working with rebar in Revit, and I've encountered an issue with the rebar length shown in the properties tab. When I manually calculate the rebar length by summing the dimensions (segments, hooks, etc.), the total I get doesn't match the length displayed in Revit's properties tab.

I'm wondering if I'm making a mistake in my calculations or if there's an additional factor that Revit includes when calculating rebar length.

Has anyone else faced this issue? Is there a recommended approach to ensure that the manually calculated rebar length matches what Revit is showing? Are there specific dimensions or adjustments that Revit accounts for that I might be overlooking?

I would suggest you look at the UK bar shapes as this has a Calculation built in already, i would suggest you are not considering the bends in the calculation.

Here is an example of Shape Code 21 from the UK Rebar Family
