Detail family nested in 3D family disappearing when joining

Hi

I have a issue with a 2D detail item family nested in a 3D Generic model family.

I've created a 2D detail item family containing a filled region, which I want to link in to my 3D generic model family.
And that is no problem. The 2D detail item family is showing as intended when I load it in to my 3D generic model family. And I've set up some parameters which work as intended too.
However, the problem appears, when I load my 3D generic model in to my project.
The 2D detail filled region shows perfectly when I insert the 3D generic model in to my project, but I need to join my 3D generic model to a floor, and that is where my problem appears. When I join the 3D generic model to a floor, the 2D family/filled region disappears.

Is there any way to avoid that the 2D family disappears when joining the generic model to a floor?
