Detach Top/Base of slanted column

Hi everyone,
I just bumped into geometry problem of slanted columns.
The problem is 
when top beams are disallowed joined 
1. Slanted columns are always automatically attached to top Beams. I tried to detach Top but couldn't.

2. Geometry of beam cut column geometry.

any idea how to 

1. detach top of slanted columns

2. geometry of columns cut top beams.

I repeated the same scenario here and got the Top Attached (Greyed out) in the Properties Palette.

To get around this is Physically Grabbed and moved the Blue Node away from the Beam End Node and this then is resolved in the Properties Palette

Thank you for your reply @jay_colcombe.
but still the beam geometry cuts below column geometry.
in addition, my firm modeling rule is that column ends and beam ends are matched perfectly since the model will be used for structural analysis in future.
Two workarounds maybe:
1. Allow join for beams
2. Change property of column from 「slanted」 to　「vertical」

top beams are disallowed joined & column ends (blue node) lie on location lines of beams

Because it is Revit- By design 😂
