I am currently new to Revit (very experienced with AutoCAD) and trying to create a Hollow Core Family for a project we are working on. The width, thickness and location/size of voids are static, yet the span of the "slab" will be dynamic - obviously the length of voids will be equal to the span length.
I first created all the refference planes for the slab and then flexed it to ensure the span would adjust accordingly (it worked beautifully). I then attempted to instert the voids by utilizing refference planes at the center of the voids as well as at the outer edges of the "void circle" and then attempted to create the voids by utilizing the Void Extrusion tool. After I did this, however, I would get constraint errors when I attempted to flex the slab.
I am using "Mastering Revit Sturucture 2010" book as a guide to create this family and Revit 2018. Conceptually, I understand the concept of what needs to be done, but I'm unsure how to get there. I've attached the file for review and any comments you might have. Thanks in advance.
