Creating Enlarged Part Plan

Hi,

Good morning.

I need to make a enlarged part plan on the same sheet as the original structural plan.

Right now, I'm doing a callout of the area I need to enlarge and rename the callout view as Roof part plan.

and Hide the callout head on the original structural plan.

I was wondering if there's a better way to do this (specifically for part plan) ?

Callout seems like more of a detail close-up to me rather than enlarged part plan.

Thank you for your help. Much appreciated.

Hello

How about simply duplicate the original plan and change the scale there. At least you won't have any callout heads on the original plan.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

I tried duplicating the original plan and adjusting the crop region earlier .

So that I only show the area of interest. However that left tons of annotations in the background.

I wasn't sure if I should just delete them or hide them all.

It looked like this. Is it because I picked duplicate with detailing?

Or should I do duplicate with dependent?

Thank you so much!

Yes, it is. You can check Annotation Crop in order to hide annotations beyond the crop region, or use "duplicate view" (without Detailing) so that you won't have any annotations at all

When you duplicate view as dependent from other view, you cannot adjust crop region and scale on depended view only. It will be automatically changed on parent view as well.
