Create Family Foundation but volume not automatically calculated

Hello! Please enlighten me, I created my family (structural foundation) by joining 2 extrusion elements. But its volume is not calculated. Should I create volume to calculate this element?

From memory it has always been this way, you could create a calculated formula for satisfy this however, If you create a Schedule for the Footings Volume will automatically be reported you could also do this with a Material Takeoff Schedule

@jay_colcombe from what I see, your element is separated. If I do that, I have to sum all of the elements from the footing and the pilecaps ๐Ÿ˜

It is not separated it is joined as i tried to replicate your example. you could model it a one single item with a void Extrusion to remove the unwanted element as i have done below and it report the exact same information, as mentioned you could create a formula driven parameter which includes all the Parameters for bother shapes width/length/height.
