Hi All,

why I get an offset between top and bottom rebar sets and I entred same parameters (cover, lenght, spacing) and same constraints in the same host ? (check picture bellow)

rebars_3d_view.JPG

rebars_top_view.JPG

is there a way to copy rebars set from bottom to top without offset?
I trayed to copy rebars set from bottom to top with same aligned place function but Revit tel me that rebars have no host and constraints are changed

Thanks.

Hi @REDO10

You should use the same edge for the distribution path, for both the top and bottom sets.

This will ensure that the bars are overlapped.

You can also use create similar, to start the placement of a free form rebar set with the same properties (layout, hooks, workshop instructions) as the existing one.

Hi @ovidiu_paunescu

I tried create similar function but always I have an offset!!?

And I selected same edge to define path distribution for both sets as you said but I get same result!!

Thanks.

Hi @REDO10

Have you tried to use the align [AL] command?

Hi @REDO10

The bottom rebar's distribution path end is constrained to that end face, while the top rebar's distribution path end is constrained to the cover. That small difference and the maximum spacing is causing the sets to not be aligned.

PathEndToCover.png

You can edit the constraints of the bottom bar and click the constraint to cover control to switch,

BottomPathToCover.png

OR, if the bottom one is correct, you can edit the top one "to face".

Also, I would not recommend any type of movement of the free form bars without the host, as this would make those bars lose the constraints.

Hi @REDO10 ,

It is better to follow the solution provided by ovidiu.paunescu . If you find it difficult then you can follow this method and later set the Rebar constraint if required.

Hi @ovidiu_paunescu

Thanks a lot for your reply

Indeed, I did not notice the difference between the rebars path constraints of the two faces.

Thanks.
