Connection between beams

Hello trying to connect these two beam. 

Two two commands don't go.

Looks pretty typical. What exactly did you do, and what is it that you are trying to do?

This is what I got when I inserted two W-sections and connected them.

There should be three beams: one continuous (main beam) and two on either sides of it.

Works anyway in 2016?

My Revit 2016 doesn't have it either.  Only 2017 and 2018.
