Change Color of Revit Link

Hi ,

Good morning everyone.

I was wondering if I could Change the color of the Arch Revit Model link to red ?

I was checking if CMU walls are aligned with Arch model and got blinded by

staring at so many lines clustered together.

Thanks for your help.

Much Appreciated.

Looks like you may have 2 options here:

  1. If you are using worksets you can change the color of the workset that the link is on to red
  2. Select the link, right click, go to "override graphics in view", then the option that says "By Element" and change color here to red.

VG > Revit Links tab > Display Settings = Custom

Basics tab = Custom

Model Category = expand all, change all to Red.

If you need to change the color of any category , you can go to VV

Why not just use worksharing display? As long as the link is on a separate workset it should be easy.

Override patterns are greyed out for the required element categories? i can't able to color the elements either by overriding the lines and cut lines color. Any suggestions?

I am trying to color a linked model black in ceiling plan. I've tried overriding the model in visibility graphics and applying a filter to the workset its in. Neither of those things worked.

Does anyone have an idea of what else I can try?

I am following the same procedure. I can change the Line Pattern but changing the Line Weight or Line Color has not effect. I have a plumbing model linked to a structural model and all the objects are system families (pipe, pipe fittings).

In this case you need to use filters to change the colors of those categories. (Hoping that you do not use the same family categories as the MEP model in your own model) Let me know if that works.

THAT is a brilliant function!  One I could've used daily through my Revit journey to date and one I'll be using daily from now.  Thank you A_MAC for that share...  Still valid and valuable 7 years on...

The more I learn, the more I realise I don't know.  Accurate for life as well as Revit.
