Challenges at Work

Hi.

  • There is this challenge at work where employees have different work output (drawings not uniform). Clients sometimes have this comment 'I want the drawings to look like the previous'. This is because different people handle the same client so the drawings clearly look different. I would wish to have drawings that look as similar as possible from all employees. Are there some ways to help with this?

  • Also there are those who don't really put in effort to make every detail right, they just want the work done with. It's a challenge because clients come back and want more done on certain details. This is exhausting/frustrating and time consuming. Any one who's had these challenges?

I'm a senior structural engineer, so i have experience with both! here are my two cent:
for the first question:
as long as the views are uniform, then you are good to go. to do that, you need to use "View Template". there are multiple videos on youtube on how to use it.

as for the other question:
you could either hire a QA/QC engineer, who has technical knowledge as well as Revit knowledge.
or give your employees sufficient training, show them what is expected of them, and when they fail, give them a warning. (its harsh, but effective)

hope that helps 🙂

Yes, quite aware.. Have worked on a template that has view templates and
