Can't automatically place beams on grids with columns

I have created a sloped reference plane that my beam is going to follow and I'm trying to use the 'place on grid' command to place beams on my grids especially at areas that have my columns, but it keeps telling me that no beams have been placed, I'm having to manually place the beams one by one myself which is taking for ever, is there something that I am doing wrong?

That is so weird the way that you've done yours is exactly how i'm doing mine and its not working, sometimes it will randomly work on some areas of the slope but no all of it.

Is the view range far enough to capture the entire slope? Are the 3d extent of the grid lines intersect the slope plane?

Yes the 3d extent of the grid lines intersect the slope plane but I'm not sure about the view range, I'm assuming that that's also fine since I am able to see the beams that i manually place on the grids, and they actually also follow the slope plane,
