Can Revit know and automatically move intersecting rebar?

Hello,

I'm making reinforcement on Revit, and the time-consuming obstacle is to tidy up the intersecting top-bottom bars.

I use the rebar sketch tool to create rebars and I need to constraint one by one so the rebars do not overlap.

Can Revit be set to know and fix it automatically?

* Note: The reason I use the rebar tool instead of the Area tool is that I try to model the reinforcement just like the construction ie the maximum length of the reinforcement on the market (12 meters), lap splice, and hook.

Thank you.

Unfortunately i don't believe so...

You can write a Dynamo script to pull the elevation of the rebar in selected areas. then maybe move items that are at the same elevation by a specific increment?

@ReginaPA97 Yes, you have to set-up rebar constraints, the link above covers it.Capture.JPG

I also suggest you sign up for Autodesk Design Academy. Take this course Cert Prep for Autodesk Certified Professional: Revit for Structural Design.

Watch lesson 2 - video 18 - Working With Reinforcement tools Part 5.
