Beam widgets in Revit drawing

I am currently working on my first project in Revit (2017). I have modeled the structure and have started creating drawings for them. I am being asked to show all members as a single line (coarse detail setting) with the exception of showing a representation of some horizontal bracing orientation. Is there a way to show a widget or small section of the bracing detail that would show which way may bracing is oriented? Example would be if I am using a wt4x9 with the beam stem facing downward, they would like to see a short section of the top flange of the brace and hidden lines representing the stem of the wt below. Thank you for any help

Can you show an example of what you're after?

This is an example of how they want the horizontal bracing to look. This way the fabricator can see the wt stem is facing downward.

you can put an annotation family on floor view of your beam family. it can be visible by checkbox.

but, it will work only with plans (not with sections and elevations). can it help?

Regarding adding an annotation to the beam family, is there a way to control the size of the annotation? i.e. how would this scale with the length of the member?

Does anyone have an example family they can share?

My team would ideally like to do this for angles, channels and WTs.

Thanks,

Henry
