2d Drafting view for Isometric section and family creation

Has anyone created drafting views for an isometric section?   
I am creating standard details for cold formed metal framing and was asked to show them as an isometric.  

I am either not using the correct wording in my searches online or this is something that no one in their right mind thinks should be done in Revit. 🙂

The issue I am dealing with it also is working out creating families for clips and metal studs that are isometric and move based on length and widths.    The Family creator seems to only want to work in x and y, not on a 30 degree angle for the isometric easily.   Is there a family template that I am not finding for this?

Create typical conditions in 3D in another file or files. Link in your project file and place it in a different workset, different phase, or in a design option, or in a remote location.  Then, create isometric views.

This was the standard way of creating 3D details in AutoCAD in a 2D environment.  Obviously in Revit you can create a 2D drafting View in reality for manufacturers often they will have a Revit model where they create a 3D representations of all details/connections and have this as a separate model and as @ToanDN states incorporate as required.

Thank you.    Would be nice to do this without having to make a 3d model view of every different situation.   But that seems to be the quickest method without reinventing the program to be more like Autocad.  🙂

I have seen it done lots of ways and in reality it what is suitable for the user.

If you had Standard repetitive details as such I have seen Drafting Views created with imported DWG/DXF of predawn ISI CAD details and even Image Extracts from Technical Literature as the good thing about Drafting Views they can be saved out of a Project as View so you can create a Detail Library and import in a Project by Project basis.
