2018 Structural Connections

I just installed Revit 2018 and was reading about the "What's New"?, and read that there are over 100 new connections. That's great, but how do you download them? I have searched in my account and can't find the add-in? Any help would be appreciated.

The documentation made it sound as though it was available...kind of misleading

Lucton,  We are aware of how to load them within Revit, but did  you notice in your screen shot that there weren't any connections to load?

Connections is an Add-in on Revit, for now it's still not delivered.

When avaliable, When available, you can download it from Autodesk Desktop App or Autodesk Manage portal.

Autodesk Help Says:

Note:
Unless structural connection add-ins are installed, only the symbolic generic connection is available.

Ok, so the connections are now available. I have some questions if Autodesk would oblige.

1. Is there a metric option for the bolts, or a to add your own bolt sizes. Currently inch seems the only option.

2. Is there away to copy or apply the same connection settings to another fixing. ie the settings seem entirely instance based with no 'by type' options available.

Thanks,

CM

I found my own answer to number 1. which is you have access to different standards under bolt type, AS1252 and AS1111, would seem to be appropriate for Australia/New Zealand.

Hi,

1. Also, you can check for DIN, EN, the ones found by you and many other bolt types.

2. There is no possibility to transfer connections parameters. The only way is to copy the entire connection.

So now we are getting messages that the connections are available and to use the Autodesk APP to download them, well when I launch the app all I get is a blank white screen, now I have to start a new complaint for that? I tried to find the connection add-in on my subscription site and still can't find them. This is crazy and frustrating. Can someone post the direct link to the 2018 Structural Connections add-in please?

Hi,

The Steel Connections Add-on can be downloaded from your Autodesk account: https://accounts.autodesk.com -> Management -> Revit -> Updates & Add-ons. Please see the attached picture.

Hope this helps,

Irina

Seriously? How much longer does this wild goose chase have to last? The 2018 Steel Connections does not exist in my subscription search. See attached screen capture.

Do you see any of the 2018 Revit Add-ons or is it only Steel Connections missing?

Thanks & Best regards
