When clicking on 'Steel Plate', the software freezes.

When clicking on "Steel Plate", the software freezes (Unable to respond). May I ask what the reason is? The system is newly installed, and the software is also newly installed. I have also tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling it, but it always freezes when clicking on "board". The software is version 2025, and the issue still exists when upgrading to version 2025.4

I just tried using VM virtual machine Win10 20H2, and when I clicked on "Steel Plate", there was no software failure to respond. Everything is normal. Is there any restriction on Revit2025 in the WIN11 system?

I also know that this feature should be usable, but I have tried many methods, including system reinstallation and software reinstallation, but have not been able to solve it.
But I can actually use the Win10 system in the VM virtual machine, and I really can't find the reason.

If you are using any sort of emulator to run windows or revit, that would explain the bad performance.

In fact, it's not just the "Steel Plate" command that causes the Revit program to not respond when clicked, but most commands in the "Steel" tab also cause the program to not respond (circling around). I really don't know what the reason is, and I'm a little tempted to give up using Revit, after all, there are many excellent steel structure software, such as Tekla. I think I may be close to the truth and speculate that it may be a problem with the 'SQLserver', but I have tried several times following the solution provided by the REVIT official website and still cannot solve it! It seems that there are still some areas that need improvement in the official website's solution. I have been struggling for several days and am almost exhausted. Thank you for your feedback. In fact, both WINDOWS, GPU, and Revit are the latest versions, but they are still invalid. I think this is related to SQL databases, but I have not found a solution yet.

I see this problem before, Revit needs more time to calculate, so I start doing each task step by step. If you work too fast Revit can't calculate and it crashes especially when I work with steel.

Thank you for Nanva's attention. There are indeed some issues that require connecting to the database, which may cause some delay. But this should be an inherent problem of the software, and I hope the R&D team of REVIT company can discover this issue.

首先，请更新你的Windows版本，以及对应的Revit软件版本。

虚拟机中的Windows10的版本不是最新的，请好好更新。要记得关闭“开发者”选项哈，别更新试用功能。

以及，如果可能，请把Windows10中的全部C++库，以及.NET卸载。然后去微软官网好好地，从能安装的第一个版本，逐个装上来（下载离线安装包，别搞小小的安装包让它在线自动更新）。有一些奇怪的BUG，其实是累积的各种库，在用比价老的函数，导致的。

不是每次都能把这种问题都能清晰找出来，以及补掉。

虽然2025版本的稳定性已经经受住了考验，但真心还是推荐偶数版本，比如2024。

虽然Revit里面也有钢结构相关功能，但建议尽量专用软件专门使用，尽量考虑使用Advance Steel 来进行钢结构相关操作，可能更稳妥。或者，至少装一下这个软件，确保Revit中与之相关或兼容的功能，可以获取一定的库支持。

“由于 SQL 安装过时或已损坏，在 Revit 中尝试创建 钢板 时，可能会遇到警告。 解决方案 检查 SQL Server 2014 LocalDB Express 的状态，如下所述：调查使用 Advance Steel 时的 SQL Server LocalDB 安装”对于这种已经写在帮助文件中，明确的严重错误，那就是“暂时处理不了”。甚至您都已经升级了有2G那么大的Revit 2025.4 Update 补丁，那想必也看完了对应的说明——这个严重错误还是没修复。

可能的修复方式，官方也说明，页面链接。

个人建议是，按部就班试试。同时也建议在虚拟机中安装Advance Steel 。对比两个软件中，同一内容的情况。

大致我已经推断出是“SQL”的问题，您给的官网的方法我尝试了好几次，无法解决。 我稍后尝试一下“C++库，以及. NET”全部卸载并且从低到高依次更新。 有最新进展我会及时更新，感谢您的回复！

针对这个 sqllocaldb 查询测试，想确认一下测试情境

请问在 Win 11 执行 sqllocaldb 查询，Revit 2025是否执行中？

如果 Revit 不在执行中，State 显示 Stopped 是正常的(我测试发现Revit未执行或程序结束一段时间后，都是显示 Stopped )

我这边使用 Windows 11 (24H2) + Revit 2025 

点选"板"，并未出现有卡死的现象

这个回复不是解决方案，只是前面提到了sqllocaldb 查询结果，想知道状态为Stopped当下，Revit是否正在运作
