Wrong Revit calculations

Hello everybody,

I am sure that Revit calculate some expressions wrongly especially when we have division operator.

Sometimes show in family parameters a wrong number (divided by 10) but apply in the drawing the correct value.

Other times its calculation is completely wrong.

For example (look to my attached images), Revit add the parameters then divide them by 10 (the scale of the drawing is not related)

Some times Revit multiply a parameter value by 10 then add the correct value of the next parameter and the result is treated in the drawing and the value is divided by 10 in the family parameters windows

What I found is the problem with unit, sometimes Revit accept our input in mm, sometimes take it as cm.

I tried this by entering some values, somewhere he wrote beside 'mm' sometime he took the value and add 'cm' instead of 'mm' and the value is converted to mm in the drawing.

In this case in the drawing the value may be correct and the family type parameter showing a wrong one,  sometimes in the parameter dialogue window put the value as divided by 10 (in both case it is wrong) and in the drawing multiplied by 10 and it be enormous.

Numerical Values typed in formula column, treated as in cm, but the value in value column taken as in mm. LOOL

Never experienced that before. Check that the units are consistent. e.g. millimetres versus centimetres.

Check the units for each category in your project, e.g insulation thickness might be different units from pipe dimensions:-

Also I am wrong, I discover sometimes Revit takes in the value column in family type window as in cm, not always as in mm. So the situation is worst.

It seems you have right, I will continue work on my family. If this issue is solved, so you solved my problem (mark as solved, later).

Thanks
